“Inequalities and Opportunities” Summer School
Bari, 23–25 June 2026
The Summer School is organized by the Department of Economics and Finance of the University of Bari, together with the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), the Department of Economics and Law of Sapienza University of Rome, the International Inequalities Institute of the London School of Economics, and the School of Economics and Finance of Queen Mary University of London.
The School is aimed primarily at PhD students and young researchers in economics and related disciplines, though applications are welcome from anyone interested in the topic, including master’s students and senior scholars.
This first edition will focus on frontier research on discrimination and human capital, intergenerational mobility, inequality and welfare.
Confirmed lecturers include: Andrea Attar, Francesco Bloise, Giorgia Menta, Domenico Moramarco, Paolo Piacquadio, Xavi Ramos, Pedro Salas-Rojo, Louis Sirugue, Jan Stuhler, and Roberto Veneziani.

The Summer School will take place immediately before the Second International Conference on Inequalities and Opportunities (25–26 June 2026, Bari), and participants are encouraged to attend the conference as well.
