Special Issue of Hacienda Pública Española / Review of Public Economics
“The Future of Work in the Age of AI: Challenges for the Public Sector” 

Hacienda Pública Española / Review of Public Economics invites submissions for a Special Issue entitled “The Future of Work in the Age of AI: Challenges for the Public Sector,” guest edited by Juan Gabriel Rodríguez and Raquel Sebastián.

The Special Issue aims to bring together research on how automation, digitalisation and artificial intelligence are reshaping labour markets and generating new challenges for public policy. We welcome empirical, theoretical and methodological contributions examining, among other topics, the effects of new technologies on employment, wages, job quality, labour-market polarisation and inequality; their distributional consequences across workers and population groups; and the role of education, social protection, taxation, labour-market policies and other public interventions in facilitating technological transitions.

Papers may focus on individual countries or adopt a comparative perspective.
